Mindful
Massage Therapy
Katy started her healing journey at the age of 19. A traveler at heart, she found her way into Asia and completed a Traditional Thai Massage Training where she learned the fundamentals of the Energetic Meridian Pathway System, Joint Mobilization and over 200 Traditional Thai Massage Moves.
In 2013, she continued this journey by embarking on a 300hr Yoga Teacher Training at the Pyramid Yoga Center. Based on the Chakra system, the training deepened her understanding of the Mind Body Connection, Breath Work, Sound, Posture, Balance and Whole Body Wellness.
In 2017, her curiosities continued, and lead her into the Registered Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage. Here, she learned everything to do with the physical body, inside and out.
Katy’s treatments are a blend of her experience. Taking a look at the person as a whole, and delicately bridging the eastern therapies with that of the west.
Her treatments start From The Ground Up, with a conversation of the full health history, previous injuries or surgeries as well as to assess what type(s) of movement experience you have. Then starting at the feet, she will assess your posture and alignment, toe to head before moving into movement screens to assess your bodies current mobility, strength and whole body proprioception.
The goal is to get enough information to then be able to see the changes when they happen.

Working together, we will find a movement or mindful practice that is right for you. Wether it comes down to doing squats while brushing your teeth, or devising a personalized yoga/mindful movement routine for you to do regularly. The end goal is to keep you happily doing the things you love, for as long as possible!
I am looking forward to working with you!
